Representing Express Systems Limited, I played a pivotal role in the “ICMS Platform Revamp” project for Robi Axiata Limited. As an Associate Engineer, my responsibilities spanned both the preparatory and concluding phases of the project, with a focus on ensuring the ICMS platform’s readiness.

Primary Responsibilities and Achievements

Documentation

My role involved comprehensive documentation tasks including the creation of High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) protocols, Information Security Checklists, Minimum Baseline Security Standards, and the final handover process documentation. This meticulous documentation was crucial for the project’s transparency and continuity.

Hardware Installation and Commissioning

As part of the team, I contributed to the installation and commissioning of substantial hardware components. This included setting up 18 DELL PowerEdge R740xd servers and 6 Cisco Nexus Switches (models N9K-C9336C-FX2, N9K-C93180YC-FX, and N9K-C9348GC-FXP), ensuring the infrastructure’s robustness and reliability.

Software Installation and Configuration

Beyond hardware, my responsibilities extended to software aspects. I installed RedHat Enterprise Linux OS on the servers and executed initial configurations. This encompassed RAID Configuration, Network Configuration, and Security Hardening, including vulnerability mitigation. These steps were critical in establishing a secure and efficient operating environment.

Project Lifecycle Management

A significant achievement in this project was overseeing the end-to-end process, from inception to project handover. My role encapsulated every aspect of making the ICMS platform operational in a telco environment, ensuring that each phase met the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

The ICMS Platform Revamp project for Robi Axiata Limited was a testament to the synergy of meticulous planning, technical expertise, and seamless execution. My role as an Associate Engineer was integral to the project’s success, contributing to the robustness and security of the ICMS platform.
